Deceased Name: Tillie Fagen Salam

FORT WORTH - Tillie Fagen Salam, a homemaker, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Robertson Mueller Harper-Eighth Avenue Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Salam was born in Danville, Ill., and had lived in Fort Worth since 1952. She was an active volunteer for the Arts Council of Fort Worth and the Van Cliburn competitions.

 

Mrs. Salam was a member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom. She was also a member of the Ahavath Sholom Ladies Auxiliary and Hadassah.She was the widow of Henry Salam, who died in 1965.

 

Survivors: Son, Richard William Salam of Fort Worth; and four sisters, Bess Shulman of Danville, Ill., Shirley Rossman and Lillian Weil, both of Sonoma, Calif., and Judy Klingman of Annapolis, Md. Sibyl B. Eckols
